Wien rewards a plan that mixes large museums with smaller street walks. St Stephen’s Cathedral anchors the old centre, while Schönbrunn Palace needs a separate half-day and the Belvedere holds major Austrian art. Naschmarkt adds a food stop on another route. Visitors can use the city as a first Austrian base before taking rail onwards. Vienna Airport’s station offers several routes into town; choose Wien Mitte or Hauptbahnhof according to the hotel rather than buying the first available ticket.
Wien Mitte is convenient for the City Airport Train and S-Bahn approach, while Hauptbahnhof is a better base for some onward rail trips. The historic centre around Stephansplatz suits a stay focused on cathedral streets and central museums, but may need another local connection after the airport train. Choose the station for the hotel rather than assuming every rail service reaches the same central terminus.
Air India uses Terminal 3, with its counters in the departure hall. The City Airport Train reaches Wien Mitte directly, while other rail options serve different stations and fare arrangements. Schönbrunn lies outside the old-town walking circuit and deserves a separate palace visit; its grounds and ticketed interiors are different parts of that outing. The Belvedere is another palace-museum complex and should be selected for its collection rather than treated as an extension of Schönbrunn. Naschmarkt fits a route through the districts southwest of the centre and provides a food stop between nearby visits. Around Stephansplatz, narrow streets make walking more useful than repeatedly entering the metro for a single stop. If continuing to another Austrian city, return to the station shown on the intercity ticket, which may be Hauptbahnhof rather than Wien Mitte. The two names describe different transport roles within the capital.
April to June or September to October, roughly 10–23°C, for gardens and streets.
By Air: Vienna International Airport (VIE) is about 20 km southeast of the centre; Railjet reaches Wien Hauptbahnhof in 15 minutes and S7 reaches Wien Mitte in 25 minutes. Buses and taxis also operate.
By Rail: Wien Hauptbahnhof and Wien Mitte have airport trains and wider Austrian connections.
By Road: Airport buses serve city stops; intercity coaches use several Vienna terminals.

Vienna International Airport (VIE). Air India operates from Vienna Terminal 3, with check-in in its departure hall. Other carriers use the airport’s other check-in terminals, so follow the airline-specific terminal assignment.
New Delhi is the seat of India's central government, and the metropolis around it runs on public administration, services, retail and the corporate offices of Gurugram and Noida. Three UNESCO World Heritage Sites lie within the city: the Red Fort complex, the Qutb Minar and its monuments, and Humayun's Tomb. Visitors come for those sites, for the food lanes of Old Delhi and for trade fairs at Pragati Maidan, and many use Delhi as the first stop before Agra, Jaipur or the hills of Himachal and Uttarakhand.
For a two or three day stay, Connaught Place, Paharganj and Karol Bagh sit on the Blue and Yellow metro lines, while Aerocity suits early departures because it is next to the airport. The Delhi Metro is the quickest way across the city, and a smart card or a QR ticket bought on a phone saves time at the counters. October to March is the main sightseeing season, though smog can be heavy in November, and Diwali week fills hotels and trains. May and June are extremely hot.
The Red Fort is closed on Mondays. At Jama Masjid and Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, remove your shoes and cover your shoulders and legs; the gurudwara also asks everyone to cover their head and lends scarves at the entrance. Swaminarayan Akshardham does not allow phones or cameras inside, so leave them in the cloakroom or at the hotel.
October to March, with days of about 7-30°C; November can bring heavy smog. April to June often passes 40°C.
By Air: Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) is about 16 km south-west of Connaught Place; allow 40-60 minutes by road, more at peak hours. The Airport Express metro line links Terminal 3 with New Delhi station, the Magenta Line serves Terminal 1, and prepaid taxis and app cabs run from all terminals.
By Rail: New Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Old Delhi and Anand Vihar Terminal are the main stations. Vande Bharat trains run to Varanasi, Amritsar and Katra, and Rajdhani services link the city with Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai.
By Road: NH 44 runs north to Punjab and Kashmir, the Yamuna Expressway reaches Agra, and the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is open in sections to the south-west. State and private buses leave from the Kashmere Gate, Anand Vihar and Sarai Kale Khan bus terminals.
