Kuala Lumpur can be explored in linked pockets rather than from one landmark. Central Market and nearby streets suit a walking morning, the Petronas Towers area gives a contrasting skyline, and Batu Caves is a separate rail outing north of town. Visitors can also find familiar food around Brickfields and Masjid India. Kuala Lumpur International Airport lies well outside the city, but its express rail connection to KL Sentral makes arrival planning straightforward.
KL Sentral is a practical base for a brief stay because the airport railway arrives there and Brickfields is beside the station district. Bukit Bintang is better for evening restaurants and shopping, while KLCC suits a visit centred on the Petronas Towers. The airport is well outside these neighbourhoods. Distinguish the KLIA Ekspres from the stopping KLIA Transit service, and select the airport terminal that matches the airline before buying a ticket.
Brickfields and the old textile-shopping streets provide two different areas for familiar meals; they are not the same neighbourhood. Central Market and nearby old-city streets fit together on foot, while Batu Caves is a separate northbound rail outing. At Batu Caves, the climb to the main cave is a substantial staircase, so it deserves more than a brief photo stop between central attractions. Petronas Towers viewing visits depend on a timed ticket rather than simply entering the surrounding shopping centre. The airport’s Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are separate buildings connected by ground transport; the Aerotrain at Terminal 1 serves its satellite building and does not transfer passengers to Terminal 2. Keep that distinction clear when arranging a connection between Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia bookings. Batu Caves belongs on the KTM commuter-rail itinerary.
June to August, around 24–33°C; showers are still possible.
By Air: Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) is about 50 km from the city. KLIA Ekspres takes 28 minutes from Terminal 1 to KL Sentral; buses and taxis take longer by road.
By Rail: KL Sentral is the main interchange for KLIA Ekspres, KTM Komuter and urban rail services.
By Road: Airport coaches and intercity buses use major terminals including TBS; taxis and app-based cars cover city districts.

Walk around Dataran Merdeka and the Sultan Abdul Samad Building.

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL). KLIA Terminal 1 handles Malaysia Airlines and Batik Air Malaysia flights, while AirAsia and AirAsia X operate from Terminal 2. These are separate terminal buildings, so check the operating carrier before arranging a transfer.
New Delhi is the seat of India's central government, and the metropolis around it runs on public administration, services, retail and the corporate offices of Gurugram and Noida. Three UNESCO World Heritage Sites lie within the city: the Red Fort complex, the Qutb Minar and its monuments, and Humayun's Tomb. Visitors come for those sites, for the food lanes of Old Delhi and for trade fairs at Pragati Maidan, and many use Delhi as the first stop before Agra, Jaipur or the hills of Himachal and Uttarakhand.
For a two or three day stay, Connaught Place, Paharganj and Karol Bagh sit on the Blue and Yellow metro lines, while Aerocity suits early departures because it is next to the airport. The Delhi Metro is the quickest way across the city, and a smart card or a QR ticket bought on a phone saves time at the counters. October to March is the main sightseeing season, though smog can be heavy in November, and Diwali week fills hotels and trains. May and June are extremely hot.
The Red Fort is closed on Mondays. At Jama Masjid and Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, remove your shoes and cover your shoulders and legs; the gurudwara also asks everyone to cover their head and lends scarves at the entrance. Swaminarayan Akshardham does not allow phones or cameras inside, so leave them in the cloakroom or at the hotel.
October to March, with days of about 7-30°C; November can bring heavy smog. April to June often passes 40°C.
By Air: Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) is about 16 km south-west of Connaught Place; allow 40-60 minutes by road, more at peak hours. The Airport Express metro line links Terminal 3 with New Delhi station, the Magenta Line serves Terminal 1, and prepaid taxis and app cabs run from all terminals.
By Rail: New Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Old Delhi and Anand Vihar Terminal are the main stations. Vande Bharat trains run to Varanasi, Amritsar and Katra, and Rajdhani services link the city with Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai.
By Road: NH 44 runs north to Punjab and Kashmir, the Yamuna Expressway reaches Agra, and the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is open in sections to the south-west. State and private buses leave from the Kashmere Gate, Anand Vihar and Sarai Kale Khan bus terminals.
