Bahrain gives a short-stay visitor two useful centres: Manama for the souq and national museum, and Muharraq for the Pearling Path. Bab Al Bahrain opens onto trading streets, while the Bahrain National Museum explains the island’s older settlements and crafts. Bahrain Fort requires a separate coastal excursion. The international airport stands in Muharraq, making the choice between a Manama hotel and a stay near the historic pearling houses relevant to the first day’s route.
The airport’s A1 bus travels through Muharraq and Manama towards Isa Town. Consult the Bahrain Bus stop map for the hotel district rather than choosing a service simply because it crosses the capital. Bab Al Bahrain is a useful starting point for the Manama Souq; the National Museum is a separate waterfront stop rather than the next lane in the market. A Fort outing belongs farther along the coast and can be planned independently of the central walking circuit.
In Muharraq, the Pearling Path links historic houses and visitor spaces associated with the pearl trade. Its distinctive pearl-shaped streetlights help trace the route through the old neighbourhood, where each house contributes a different part of the story. The Pearling Path Visitor Centre gives context before a longer walk. Boat trips to Bu Mahir depart from the National Museum area, offering another way to connect the story of the coast with its historic buildings. The Muharraq Nights festival uses the Pearling Path during Bahrain’s December celebration season, so an evening visit then has a different character from a daytime heritage walk. Do not confuse Bahrain Fort with Bu Mahir Fort: the former is a separate archaeological destination, while the latter relates directly to the pearling route.

New Delhi is the seat of India's central government, and the metropolis around it runs on public administration, services, retail and the corporate offices of Gurugram and Noida. Three UNESCO World Heritage Sites lie within the city: the Red Fort complex, the Qutb Minar and its monuments, and Humayun's Tomb. Visitors come for those sites, for the food lanes of Old Delhi and for trade fairs at Pragati Maidan, and many use Delhi as the first stop before Agra, Jaipur or the hills of Himachal and Uttarakhand.
For a two or three day stay, Connaught Place, Paharganj and Karol Bagh sit on the Blue and Yellow metro lines, while Aerocity suits early departures because it is next to the airport. The Delhi Metro is the quickest way across the city, and a smart card or a QR ticket bought on a phone saves time at the counters. October to March is the main sightseeing season, though smog can be heavy in November, and Diwali week fills hotels and trains. May and June are extremely hot.
The Red Fort is closed on Mondays. At Jama Masjid and Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, remove your shoes and cover your shoulders and legs; the gurudwara also asks everyone to cover their head and lends scarves at the entrance. Swaminarayan Akshardham does not allow phones or cameras inside, so leave them in the cloakroom or at the hotel.
October to March, with days of about 7-30°C; November can bring heavy smog. April to June often passes 40°C.

By Rail: New Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Old Delhi and Anand Vihar Terminal are the main stations. Vande Bharat trains run to Varanasi, Amritsar and Katra, and Rajdhani services link the city with Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai.
By Road: NH 44 runs north to Punjab and Kashmir, the Yamuna Expressway reaches Agra, and the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is open in sections to the south-west. State and private buses leave from the Kashmere Gate, Anand Vihar and Sarai Kale Khan bus terminals.
