Frankfurt can be seen in a compact central circuit despite its role as a major air hub. Römerberg anchors the old town, the Museum Embankment runs along the Main, and the Städel Museum merits time indoors. Palmengarten is a separate green stop. The Städel is a substantial collection visit, while Palmengarten is a separate botanical-garden outing away from that river circuit. A short connection is better spent in one central cluster than split between the river museums and Palmengarten. Use the actual flight terminal for the return, since older Terminal 2 directions may be obsolete.

Hongdae is useful for an airport-rail arrival and an evening in its surrounding streets, while Myeongdong puts central shopping closer. A palace-focused stay can favour the Jongno area instead. The Airport Railroad’s express and stopping trains serve different purposes: the express links the airport with Seoul Station, while stopping services reach additional interchanges. Choose according to the hotel district.
Asiana moved to Terminal 2 on 14 January 2026, so older guides that send its passengers to Terminal 1 are out of date. Incheon’s official app and flight information identify the correct terminal before a return train ride. Gyeongbokgung and Bukchon belong together geographically, but Bukchon includes residential lanes and should be approached as a lived-in neighbourhood. Hongdae is a separate western outing rather than the next stop on a palace walk. The Han River also has many access points; select a particular riverside park instead of navigating to the river in general. That choice determines the useful metro station and prevents an unnecessary crossing of Seoul.
